fcitx-ui-qimpanel software package provides Flexible Input Method Framework - Qt IMPanel user interface, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install fcitx-ui-qimpanel
fcitx-ui-qimpanel is installed in your system.
Make ensure the fcitx-ui-qimpanel package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep fcitx-ui-qimpanel *
You will get with fcitx-ui-qimpanel package name, version, architecture and description in a table
